In the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church, "the sacraments are efficacious signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine life is dispensed to us. The visible rites by which the sacraments are celebrated signify and make present the graces proper to each sacrament.
There are seven sacraments in the church: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance, the Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders and Matrimony.
The first three sacraments, Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist are known as the sacraments of initiation. The sacraments of Penance and Anointing of the sick are known as the sacraments of healing and the last two sacraments, Holy Orders and Matrimony are known as the sacraments at the service of communion.
For each of the sacraments there is a process of preparation. Our website offers a description of how to register for sacraments as well as the processes leading up to each. You may learn more about the sacraments and our services by visiting one of the pages in the left-hand column.
